Move your WiFi router off Zigbee-heavy channels
If your router is on WiFi channel 11, it sits right on top of the most common Zigbee default channel (Zigbee 20-24 range). Move the router to channel 1 or 6, or turn its channel selection to manual instead of auto.

Reduce the Zigbee network size per hub
Most hubs cap out around 30-50 Zigbee devices. Once the network is full or near-full, devices at the edge fall off constantly. Consider a second hub or moving some devices to a WiFi/Matter alternative.

Add a mains-powered Zigbee device as a mesh repeater
Battery sensors cannot relay traffic; only plugged-in devices (bulbs, plugs) extend the mesh. If you have a dead spot, move a smart plug or bulb into it — it becomes a router node and fixes the unresponsive zone.
